We wish President Peres a very happy birthday and the warmest wishes upon reaching this joyous milestone. Through tragedy and war, transformation and achievement, Peres’s leadership has inspired generations of Israelis and American Jews to strive to build an Israel that is truly a “light unto nations.” In service to his country, he is is the living embodiment of tzedek, tzedek, tirdof, “justice, justice thou shalt pursue.” And he has never ceased advocating for peace, nor lost confidence that Israel will know true security in his lifetime.
