J Street applauds the reintroduction of the Iron Dome Support Act, lead by Congresswoman Susan Davis (D-CA-53), and strongly supports its swift passage. Israel’s ‘Iron Dome’ rocket defense system is key to helping protect Israeli civilians and soldiers from rocket attacks from Hamas, Hezbollah, and other militant groups. On the eve of President Obama’s trip to Israel, 27 Senators have signed on to a letter authored by California Senator Dianne Feinstein calling for a sustained US diplomatic initiative to help forge a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians based on a two-state solution.
