J Street Calls on Congress to Swiftly Pass the Iron Dome Support Act

J Street applauds the reintroduction of the Iron Dome Support Act, lead by Congresswoman Susan Davis (D-CA-53), and strongly supports its swift passage. Israel’s ‘Iron Dome’ rocket defense system is key to helping protect Israeli civilians and soldiers from rocket attacks from Hamas, Hezbollah, and other militant groups. Maintaining and expanding this project will help save lives and improve the quality of life of Israelis, particularly in the South of Israel, who have lived under the threat and reality of rocket attacks for too long. Twenty-Seven Senators Call for “Sustained, US Diplomatic Initiative” for Two-State Solution

On the eve of President Obama’s trip to Israel, 27 Senators have signed on to a letter authored by California Senator Dianne Feinstein calling for a sustained US diplomatic initiative to help forge a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians based on a two-state solution.
